Background

CSL was retained to conduct a geotechnical investigation and provide design recommendation for riverbank stabilization on the Pic River at Pukaskwa National Park in Ontario Canada.

CSL Ltd.’s Role

Geotechnical Investigation

The geotechnical investigation involved the samplying of subsurface soil to determine the engineering properties of the soil required for design recommendations. The design parameters obtained in tandem with finite element (FE) analyses confirmed the adequacy of the proposed riverbank stabilization slopes for construction.

Background

THP Variety and Gas Bar is located on City Road on the Fort William First Nation (FWFN) Reserve. CSL was retained by JA Robinson Pump Services Ltd. to provide a geotechnical investigation for the proposed canopy foundation.

CSL Ltd.’s Role

Geotechnical Investigation

CSL in partnership with locally owned and operated Drilling company conducted the field investigation. Geotechnical engineering recommendations were then developed for deep foundation (pile) design, depth to founding strata, and anticipated constructibility issues.

Field Services

CSL performed pile installation inspections, rebar inspections of the pile caps, and partnered with local engineering firm to provide concrete and compaction services.
